New mild-hybrid powertrain for better efficiency

One of the most significant changes for 2025 is the introduction of a mild-hybrid system. The updated powertrain pairs a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine with a 48V electrical system. Increased towing capacity and practical dimensions

To better meet user expectations, Toyota has increased the Prado VX's maximum braked towing capacity by 500 kg. It can now tow up to 3500 kg, making it competitive with leading large SUVs.
