The Chinese manufacturer Chery has revealed the 2025 Tiggo 7 Pro SE and SE+ models, offering a compact SUV with advanced driver assistance, long warranty coverage, and competitive pricing across several key markets including Europe, the USA, and Australia.

Table of contents:

Powertrain, Performance and Equipment

The global 2025 Tiggo 7 Pro range includes two petrol variants: the SE (Special Edition) and the SE+. Both are powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, configured in front-wheel drive only - all-wheel drive is no longer available.

The SE+ trim builds on the SE by adding a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, wireless phone charger, adjustable ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, powered passenger seat, heated front seats, and an optional two-tone roof. Both trims come standard with a dual 12.3-inch display setup, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and a full suite of active safety systems including blind-spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and driver monitoring.

The Tiggo 7 Super Hybrid, available in some markets, features a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol plug-in hybrid powertrain with front-wheel drive and a notable electric-only range. At its Australian launch, the Super Hybrid was the country's most affordable PHEV.

Interior and Technology

The interior design focuses on combining functionality with modern styling. The centrepiece is the connected 12.3-inch driver display and infotainment touchscreen, providing clear graphics and smooth operation.

Both SE and SE+ versions feature synthetic leather upholstery, multi-zone climate control, and configurable ambient lighting. The SE+ adds premium touches such as a panoramic glass roof and heated front seats, enhancing comfort for long drives.

Driver convenience is supported by a powered tailgate, keyless entry, push-button start, and wireless device charging in the SE+. Safety and assistance systems meet the latest regulatory standards in key export markets.

Pricing and Warranty

In Australia, the Tiggo 7 Pro SE is priced at AUD 29,990 drive-away, while the SE+ starts at AUD 33,990 drive-away for deliveries scheduled between August and September 2025. The Super Hybrid variant is priced from AUD 39,990 drive-away for the Urban grade and AUD 43,990 for the Ultimate grade.

In the United Kingdom, indicative pricing positions the petrol Tiggo 7 from £24,995 and the plug-in hybrid variant from £29,995.
These figures reflect the brand's value strategy in the compact SUV class.

Chery offers a seven-year unlimited-kilometre warranty for private buyers, with a 150,000 km cap for commercial use. Capped-price servicing is also available: the first five services at AUD 289 each, the sixth at AUD 386.09, and the seventh at AUD 320.84. These costs are competitive within the compact SUV segment.

Market Rollout and Availability

In Europe, the Tiggo 7 debuted in June 2025, first in Poland and then in the UK, offered with both the 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid powertrains. For Europe, equipment aligns closely with export specifications, and in the UK pricing starts at £24,995 for the petrol model and £29,995 for the plug-in hybrid.

As of August 2025, the Tiggo 7 Pro SE, SE+, and Super Hybrid are not sold in the United States. Chery has not confirmed plans for a US launch, and entry into this market would require full regulatory certification and a sales network.
